Great Ride with my crew but damn!  Couldn’t seem to get my breath at all it was so humid!  Very little break from the head wind, we always seemed to be going in to the direction lol.  But i guess the big “buzz words” about riding in Houston are “wind, humidity and heat”.  Triple Threat!  huyahhh!

Day 2 started out of La Grange chilly at 48 degrees but warmed up very quickly.  Same as the day before it warmed up nicely, though unlike last year it didn’t get too hot.  The wind also stayed at our backs.

It started out VERY brisk 39 degrees and no wind.  As the day warmed up the wind picked up but at our backs!  yay!  The ride was PERFECT, except for the cold morning we couldn’t of asked for more beautiful weather.

Gorgeous day!  Got a big sunburned by the end of it.  Met some fun people!  One guy looked like a total motorcycle hells angles but was riding a bicycle.  I loved it.  Was a fantastic tail wind, hope next weekends ms150 has the same tail wind!  Bit of a nasty head wind but good training… yah 🙂 I’ll keep telling myself that haha!

Originally planned on doing 69 mi but it the wind was picking up so we changed the route to 47 mi.

Was LOTS of fun have that 20 mph tail wind though for 22 miles!

Weather was perfect since it was cloudy so it didn’t get too hot.  Me and hubby switched off taking the lead every 5 miles during the head wind.  Was nice that the last 3-4 mi were cross and than tail taking us to the finish line.

Nice little ride with hubby & Exxon Team.  Working on getting husband back up to strength since he was sick 🙁  This season has just been bad luck! Between wind/rain/cold/illness our training is not up to our normal standards.  The flowers were really starting to come out!  So pretty!
